Held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-SISI, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, the fourth edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025) was inaugurated at 14:00 local time (12:00 GMT) on Monday, 1 December 2025. The ceremony took place at the Al-Manara International Conference Center and the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in New Cairo, in the presence of President SISI, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa MADBOULY, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Mageed SAQR, as well as several ministers and senior state officials.

Türkiye’s indigenous unmanned fighter jet struck a target aircraft, marked by ASELSAN’s MURAD AESA radar, with complete accuracy using TUBITAK SAGE’s GÖKDOĞAN air-to-air missile during a test off the coast of Sinop. This test marked the first time in aviation history that an unmanned fighter jet successfully destroyed a jet-engine–powered aerial target using a BVR (Beyond Visual Range) air-to-air missile.

Pakistan Navy conducted a successful test flight of an indigenously developed ship-launched Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile. The weapon system is capable of engaging sea as well as ground targets with high precision. The system is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance and has advanced maneuverability features.

As TUSAŞ’s HÜRJET jet trainer becomes one of Spain’s highest-priority procurement programs, Greek media outlets have circulated speculative and politically motivated claims targeting the platform. Speaking to El Español, Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) President & CEO Mehmet DEMİROĞLU dismissed these allegations, noting that “no unresolved issues remain” in the ongoing negotiations between the two countries and stating that the contract “could be signed within weeks.”
