Honeywell Names Frans Van DEURSEN As President, Turkey and Central Asia

Appointed to spearhead Honeywell’s continued expansion in Turkey and Central Asia, Frans van DEURSEN is replacing Orhan GENİŞ who will be retiring from Honeywell

On 18th September, Honeywell announced that Frans van Deursen, a business leader with more than 30 years’ experience in business leadership, has been appointed president, Turkey and Central Asia (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan). He replaces Orhan GENİŞ who will be retiring from Honeywell after 28 years of service, the last 6 years as president. 

In this new role based in Istanbul, Turkey, Frans van DEURSEN is responsible for growing Honeywell’s business across Turkey and Central Asia and ensuring customers in the region can benefit from the latest connected technologies that improve safety, security, efficiency and productivity across a wide range of industries. Reporting to Shane Tedjarati, Honeywell president of Global High Growth Regions, Frans joined Honeywell in July 2010, holding a variety of senior business and leadership roles and was, most recently, president, Honeywell Iran. 

Honeywell’s technologies are at the forefront of the Industrial Internet of Things revolution (IIoT), blending leading physical products with advanced software and data analytics to support a smarter, more connected, safer and more sustainable world. These advanced solutions are helping companies across Turkey and Central Asia capitalize on “Industry 4.0” and the efficiency and productivity benefits it offers, by helping them generate, make sense of, and utilize, large amounts of operational data in order to grow and innovate.

Honeywell’s regional operations span all four of its business groups – Aerospace, Building Technologies, Performance Materials and Technologies, and Safety and Productivity Solutions – and include sales, customer support, business administration, manufacturing, and engineering.

Prior to Honeywell, Van DEURSEN held several positions with Yokogawa, Danfoss, Compressor Controls Corporation and Invensys. He studied General Operational Technology at the Institute for Higher Technical and Nautical Education, Amsterdam. Frans is a Dutch citizen, married and has two sons.
