Date: Issue 117 - October 2022

The exhibition of modern weapons and equipment, ADEX, took place after a forced break caused by the Second Karabakh War in 2020 and the pandemic in 2021 (the exhibition was supposed to be held in 2021 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Of special significance this year was the fact that the exhibition was held for the first time after the glorious victory of Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh War.  Advanced weaponry was displayed showcasing the strength and power of the country's military and industrial complex, which played an exceptional role in the Victory of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan in the Second Karabakh War.

Products were on display for visitors in the indoor exhibition area which extended throughout three different halls at the Baku Expo Center as well as in the outdoor exhibition space located right in front of the facility. A total of 208 companies from 18 countries attended ADEX 2022.  The exhibition area was expanded by 10% this year compared to ADEX 2018 (which brought together 224 participants from 29 countries), this year’s 4th edition of ADEX was held in an indoor exhibiting area of more than 5,000 square meters (including 3 indoor exhibiting halls; Hall 1, 2 and 3) and the outdoor exhibiting area, which provided exhibitors ample space to showcase the latest technological innovations and network opportunities with top military officials and other key decision makers from Azerbaijan as well as other countries. Participants of the ADEX 2022 defense exhibition included leading defense sector companies from Azerbaijan (19 companies), Belarus (11 companies), Belgium, Bulgaria (6 companies), China (CETC International), Finland/Türkiye (MIILUX OY), France, Iran, Israel (6 companies), Italy (Leonardo), Jordan, Netherlands, Pakistan (4 companies), the Russian Federation (13 companies), Spain (INDRA), Türkiye, Ukraine (Motor-Sich) and Kazakhstan (5 companies).
