TCG ANADOLU Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship Planned to be Delivered at the End of 2022

President of Defense Industries Prof. İsmail DEMİR met with members of the press on the TCG Anadolu Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship, which is undergoing sea trials and is expected to be temporarily accepted and delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces Command (TNFC) within this year, and informed members of the press with the latest on the LHD Project.

Under the Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship (LHD) Project signed on June 1, 2015, between the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and SEDEF Shipbuilding Inc. (SEDEF Shipyard), the TCG Anadolu (L-400) LHD was constructed with 131 subcontractor companies and a 68% domestic contribution rate. The TCG Anadolu, which is expected to be delivered to the Turkish Navy by the end of this year, was introduced to the press for the first time at an event accompanied by the President of Defense Industries İsmail DEMİR. 

The first sea trials of TCG Anadolu (L-400), which was launched in May 2019 and after the completion of its construction and outfitting activities, were conducted by SEDEF Shipyard in the Sea of Marmara between March 7-10, 2022. As of June 2022, the Sea Acceptance Tests of TCG Anadolu are carried out by Turkish Navy personnel assigned to the vessel.
