Defense Industry Events Postponed in Succession to 2021 due to Pandemic

As the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic continue to increasingly impact both our country and the world, many activities scheduled to be held in Turkey in the second half of 2020 have been postponed to 2021, as required by the directives and circulars of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Health and related ministries and institutions.

The 5th ICDDA 2020 event, scheduled to be held on October 13-15, 2020 by the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) and the OSTIM Defense and Aviation Cluster (OSSA) with the support of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), has been postponed to a later date. No rescheduled dates have been announced yet. 

Within the framework of the measures taken, the SAHA EXPO Defense and Aerospace Exhibition announced by SAHA Istanbul to be organized on November 4th - 7th, 2020, has also been postponed to November 10th – 13th, 2021. The SAHA EXPO will be held on this date at Halls 5, 6 and 7 of the Istanbul Expo Center.  

The SAHA EXPO Virtual Exhibition, on the other hand, will be held online between the 9th of November 2020 and the 9th of April 2021. The first week of the event is planned to be held through video conferences with over 300 participants. The Virtual Exhibition will continue as a virtual exhibition, facilitating and conducting B2B and B2G meetings during the five months.

The booths of our participants who have signed contracts for the SAHA EXPO 2020 will be valid for the exhibition to be held in 2021. In addition, SAHA EXPO 2020 participants will be able to participate in the SAHA EXPO Virtual Exhibition.

The SAHA EXPO Virtual Exhibition will be accessible via PC web browser, mobile browser or the SAHA EXPO mobile application without downloading any applications. Authorized users will be able to log into the system from all over the world.

Industry professionals from Turkey and all over the world will have the opportunity to experience virtual tours at the exhibition which will be available 24/7, examine 3D models of companies in detail through virtual reality technologies, watch the video presentations of various companies and products, and conduct live video conferences with officials from participating companies.

The 5th Land Systems Seminar which was to be held on November 12th - 13th, 2020 this year has been postponed to November 3rd - 4th, 2022 due to the fact that the IDEF'21 fair and other seminars of the fair will take place in 2021.
