International Future Soldier Conference Postponed to June 8-9, 2021

September 16, 2020, The International Future Soldier Conference, planned to be organized on 23-24 March 2020 by SaSaD and Defence Turkey at Ankara Sheraton Hotel with the support of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff and Presidency of Defense Industries, has been postponed to June 08-09, 2021, within the scope of the decisions taken by the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board. 150 military officials from all forces (land, naval, air and gendarmerie) are expected to attend the conference, which is planned to be held with 400 participants in total. While the location of the conference and the current program do not change, it is stated that there may be some changes in participating countries, participants who will make presentations and speeches. It is aimed that military leaders of the future soldier program from different countries such as Brazil, Austria, the U.S. and the Netherlands will take part as speakers at the conference.

The conference will bring together the officials of the countries that are working on the "Future Soldier" concept, foreign military delegations, global defense and technology companies working in this field, Turkish defense industry and military institutions and organizations, and aims to provide optimum benefit in terms of information sharing between the parties and create awareness.

Since the conference will be held for the first time this year, to express the general purpose more clearly, it is deemed more appropriate to determine the general topics in the field of the "Future Soldier Concept and Technologies", which includes opportunities for synergy and cooperation, while the main theme is “The Warrior, Today and Tomorrow”. The 2-day conference will include the programs and policies of the countries carrying out the "Tek-Er” Dismounted Soldier System Modernization program, panels on new technologies in this field, and B2B meetings between global and Turkish companies.
