A critical milestone has been completed under the National Vertical Launching System (MIDLAS) Project, initiated by the Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) and managed by Roketsan. The MIDLAS successfully fired the HISAR-D RF Missile from the TCG Istanbul frigate for the first time.

The MILGEM 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Ships Vertical Launching System Project was initiated by the SSB to meet the needs of the Naval Forces Command. With the successful firing of HISAR-D RF Missile, MIDLAS passed an important stage in the Sea Acceptance Tests.
