The Indo Defence exhibition, which brings together numerous regional and global industry players, opened its doors in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, from June 11-14. Roketsan, showcasing many of its cutting-edge air, land, and sea defense systems, also signed two new contracts that enhance defense industry cooperation with Indonesia. These two new contracts, signed on June 11 at Indo Defence 2025, solidify the strategic alignment and shared vision between Roketsan and PT Republik Defence Indonesia (RDI) in technology transfer, capability development, and regional security.
As part of the signing ceremony, the first contract was signed between Roketsan and PT RDI for the procurement of the ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile and the ATMACA Weapon System. This agreement, strengthening defense cooperation between the two friendly nations, Türkiye and Indonesia, further enhances Roketsan's contribution to Indonesia's naval power modernization.
The second signature between Roketsan and PT RDI was made under the framework of a planned Joint Venture Agreement (JVA). With this initiative, both parties aim to develop local capabilities in Indonesia for the assembly, domestic production, and sustainability of missile technologies, ultimately reducing the country's reliance on foreign defense industries in the long term.
Speaking at the ceremony, the CEO of Roketsan Murat İkinci said: "The contracts signed today once again demonstrate the strong progress of our cooperation with PT RDI. We are immensely proud to contribute to Indonesia's defense modernization and to establish the foundation for long-term industrial collaborations. In the coming period, we will continue to strengthen our defense industry cooperation with Indonesia, our friendly and allied nation, and continue to represent our country across the globe."
