T625 Multi-Role Helicopter Performs its Maiden Flight

Developed and produced by Turkish Aerospace (TA) with indigenous facilities, the maiden flight of the T625, which is the first light class utility helicopter, was performed at a ceremony at TA premises with the participation of the President of Defence Industries Prof. Ismail DEMIR and a number of invited guests. TA, which was hosting this exciting event during the first rays of sun at 6:00 am on September 6th, achieved one more important stage within the scope of the project with the engine run-up and takeoff of the T625 Multi-Role Helicopter

The T625 Helicopter performed its first flight (Hover) seamlessly under the control of TA test pilots with a “Experimental” purpose special flight permit for the first prototype helicopter (tail no: TC-HLP), after the inspections conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). This first flight duration was 20 minutes.

In the Turkish Light Class unique Multi-Role Helicopter project, the first bladed engine run-up tests of the T625 Multi-role Helicopter prototype had successfully been carried out on 31 August 2018.
