TEI Wins U.S. Navy LM2500 Gas Turbine Maintenance Contract

Turkiye’s leading engine company, TEI, has secured a maintenance contract for the gas turbine modules of the U.S. Navy’s LM2500 engines. With 40 years of expertise in aviation engines, TEI signed a depot-level maintenance contract for the LM2500 gas generator in 2024, valued at US$45.6 million, and followed it with a new gas turbine depot-level maintenance contract in Q2 2025, valued at US$67.5 million.

TEI successfully conducts maintenance and repair activities for the LM2500 gas turbine engines, used by both the Turkish Navy and the U.S. Navy, which operates the world’s largest LM2500 fleet, at its state-of-the-art facilities in Eskişehir. TEI has achieved advanced technological and workforce capabilities to provide maintenance and repair services for LM2500 engines in the inventories of numerous countries. This positions TEI as a globally preferred strategic maintenance hub, ensuring the sustainability of propulsion systems for frigates, corvettes, destroyers, and amphibious vessels. The U.S. Navy’s selection of TEI underscores its reliability and technical excellence within the international defense industry ecosystem.
