Turkish Aerospace Wins One Silver & Two Bronze Stevie® Awards with Two Projects in the 2020 International Business Awards

10 September 2020, Turkish Aerospace won 3 awards with 2 projects at the 17th Annual International Business Awards. The company was named the winner of a Silver Stevie Award for Communications or PR Campaign of the Year, in the Internal Communications category and a Bronze Stevie Award for Communications or PR Campaign of the Year, in the Community Engagement category for the Young Woman Empowerment Mentoring Project and they won a Bronze Stevie Award for Communications or PR Campaign of the Year category in the Community Engagement category for the Kid Inventor’s Day Celebration Filled with Science. 

The International Business Awards is the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for profit and non-profit, large and small – all are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 countries and territories.

As the ongoing COVID-19 crisis will prevent winners from receiving their awards on stage during a traditional gala IBA banquet, this year’s winners will be celebrated during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020.

The project on Young Woman Empowerment Mentoring was designed with 20 mentors who work at Turkish Aerospace, who mentored 20 women university students to empower them and to inspire the employment of women in the defense industry. The program received accolades and inspiring comments from many judges; some of the  most impressive remarks are as follows: “A great campaign to promote gender equality; A very well thought-out project that introduces a real change in the lives of young women; A good campaign to foster equal opportunities…”. The other award winner project on Kid Inventor’s Day Celebration Filled with Science was designed to contribute to the growth and improvement of children and to strengthen the relationships between children. This project also received great feedback and comments by judges, such as the following: “KID Inventor's Day and its associated activities are laudable initiatives aimed at creating a culture of innovation; An excellent initiative to support the young generation; Interesting, well-planned event…”

The Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September.
